World Heart Beat Music Academy Limited

World Heart Beat Music Academy is a transformative charity that believes in the profound, life changing power of music. Its mission is to inspire and uplift young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, by giving them free or heavily subsidized access to world-class music education. World Heart Beat is dedicated to breaking down barriers and creating a vibrant, inclusive space where talent and passion are nurtured, regardless of financial means. WHB was established in 2009 to address the lack of affordable music education for Londoners, no matter their background or skills. In January 2022, we opened an outstanding, state-of-the-art, music education centre, concert hall and recording studios in Embassy Gardens, Nine Elms, designed to truly ‘level-up’ and give equality of access to music. Our new venue is situated in an area which is underserved for youth services and culture, where nearby housing estates are amongst the poorest in England (lowest 10-30% multiple and child deprivations).
World Heart Beat Music Academy is a ‘musical family’ where children and young people aged 5 – 25 years, of all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, can play music. The academy strives to give young people hope, purpose, and a voice. Through mentorship and lessons led by globally respected musicians, students don’t just learn to play; they gain confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

More than 400 students come for up to 20 hours per week, an average with us for 7 years and 1000s more children and young people are engage via outreach.
