The Roxy Davis Foundation’s mission is toprovide inclusive, evidence-based ocean therapyand surf-based programmes that make theocean accessible to people living withdisabilities, youth at risk and other vulnerablegroups, in order to improve their mental,physical and emotional well-being and openpathways into leadership and employment. Weoffer structured surf therapy, adaptive surfi ng,mentorship, skills development and accreditedtraining that move participants from a fi rstmoment of inclusion in the water into roles ascoaches, judges, ocean ambassadors and para-sport athletes. Through universal accessinfrastructure, transport support and carefullydesigned safeguarding and governancepractices, we remove physical, fi nancial andsocial barriers that keep people excluded fromboth the ocean and the wider blue economy.Our structured Spark, Bridge and System Shiftmethodology ensures that each safe, supportedsession in the ocean becomes a catalyst forconfi dence, connection and long-termopportunity. As participants gain exposure,experience, education and empowerment, theytransition from being recipients of care toleaders and income earners who uplift theirfamilies and communities. Our mission is toaccomplish a measurable ripple effect in whichevery wave shared changes how individualsunderstand their own capabilities and howcommunities understand disability, gender andbelonging, so that coastlines become places ofrehabilitation, dignity and possibility for all.
