Marnie Middlemiss
Marnie, as the Global Executive Director of Foundations at Chapel & York, supports the growth of cross-border philanthropy and works with organisations and donors to maximise their global impact.
Marnie is a philanthropy leader with over 25 years’ experience across the voluntary and cultural sectors. She has worked with organisations including the University of Brighton, the Holburne Museum and the Roundhouse, leading major campaigns, building high-performing teams and developing strategies that connect fundraising with long-term impact. Most recently, she served as Director of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement at the University of Brighton, where she rebuilt the team and significantly increased income through a strong focus on purpose, culture and delivery.
Alongside her executive career, Marnie has spent the past decade as a trustee and is currently a trustee of Overcoming MS. She is particularly motivated by what she describes as “opportunity-raising”. Creating pathways for people to access funding, networks and support that can change lives.
Away from work, she can be found walking her lurcher in the countryside.
