Tanja is a senior nonprofit and fundraising consultant, facilitator, trainer, and executive coach. She is the president of Synergies in Philanthropy Consulting, a consultancy that provides strategic and team-centered solutions to increase nonprofit innovation, revenue, and effectiveness in a changing and competitive 21st-century philanthropy and fundraising environment. She is an expert in cross-border giving, philanthropy, and donor engagement, having worked in the nonprofit and foundation field for over 25 years with organizations in the U.S, Europe, and Israel, including U.S. affiliates (“American Friends”) of European and Israeli charities. Her expertise include helping foreign-based NGOs and charities create a successful presence in the U.S. and adapt to the unique culture of philanthropy in North America. Tanja is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), an Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Master Trainer, a Certified Virtual Facilitator (CVF), an International Association of Facilitators (IAF) endorsed Facilitator, and a 21/64 Multigenerational Giving Advisor. She holds an M.A. in political science and a Public Relations diploma. Tanja is fluent in German (bi-lingual).
