The Teyuna Foundation (TF) exists to share and support the teachings, practices, values, and territories of Amerindians with individuals, organizations and networks focused on cultural and ecological preservation, protection, reclamation, and restoration. We specifically endorse indigenous practices that sustain or return Earth to a state of balanced health and harmony. One of the translations of Teyuna is “thinker of clear thoughts”. Teyuna is a name used amongst the Arhuaco, Kankuamo, Kogi and Wiwa people of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta (SNSM) region of Colombia when they refer to themselves.
