St Giles’ Cathedral
St Giles’ Cathedral
St Giles' is primarily a place of worship at the heart of Edinburgh, Scotland. It is considered the Mother Kirk of Presbyterianism, and as such is at the heart of the Scottish Diaspora. Whilst the Cathedral is first and foremost a normal parish church, it has a wider role in Scottish history as a 900-year-old heritage site. We welcome over 1,000,000 visitors a year with the aim of sharing St Giles’ history, and the history of Scotland. At the heart of Presbyterianism, St Giles’ plays a prominent role in the Scottish Diaspora, and as a result has global reach to those with Scottish ancestry.
