Global Health Film Initiative

Global Health Film Initiative

The Global Health Film Initiative (commonly known as ‘Global Health Film’) brings people together from all over the world, for the common cause of education through excellent storytelling that creates understanding and empathy, ignites academic, personal and professional debate and sparks an interest in complex, neglected and poorly understood global health and social justice issues.

The common denominator in global health is inequity; the stories we showcase shine a spotlight on inequity of choice, access, opportunity and power for individuals and communities in the developed and developing world. Subjects include poverty, conflict, mental health, gender violence, disability and planetary health.

Our festivals, screenings and masterclasses create a unique space for exchange and collaboration between storytellers, scientists, clinicians, policymakers and everyone who is curious about the world and the actions we can all take to make it a better place.
